Lucha Libre is amazing.

Masked luchadors.

Unique personalities.

Larger than life characters.

Spectacular shows.

There is a certain joy in Lucha Libre (Spanish Professional Wrestling). There is something about being trapped in the story of the show.

Whether it’s Blue Demon, Mil Mascaras, Atlantis, Psycho Clown, or the Greatest Luchador of All-Time by far- EL SANTO, EL ENMASCARADO DE PLATA, it is always a unique feeling watching a match with quality wrestlers. Especially someone like El Santo, who was as big as they get, there is a certain aura in the old tapes. The joy of Lucha Libre is one that many Latin Americans enjoy.

Whether you are watching the grand-daddy promotion of them CMLL or one of the other ones like AAA, it is still great regardless.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
