On October 16, 1991, 23 people were killed in Killeen, Texas. On April 20, 1999, 13 people were killed at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. On April 16, 2007, 32 people were killed at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. On July 20, 2012, 12 people were killed at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. On December 14, 2012, 27 people, including children, were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut. On June 12, 2016, 49 people were killed at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida. On October 1, 2017, 58 people were killed at a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada. On November 5, 2017, 25 people and an unborn child were killed at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. And finally, on February 14, 2018, 17 people were killed at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. These are just some examples of the mass shootings that have occurred in United States history. When is enough going to be enough?

How many times is this going to happen before people realize that we need better gun laws in this country? Since the start of 2018, there have been 18 school shootings in the US. Eighteen. Our kids should be going to school feeling safe, not threatened. People should be able to enter a church or place of worship and feel safe. It's time to make a change. It's time for officials to think about peoples lives instead of their rights. We need to start feeling safe again. We need to be able to send our kids to school, and not have to fear for their lives.

Below I've attached a petition to change gun laws in America. It's time to start feeling safe again. It's time to send our children to school, go to a concert, or go see a movie and feel safe.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
