It's that time of year when fall is just settling in; the leaves are changing colors and the weather starts to get cooler. Halloween is just around the corner, and for many college students like myself, it is so hard to decide on a costume that's affordable (because we all know college students are poor) and stylish that will turn heads when you go to a party. Most of these costumes are basic but you can always make them unique in your own way!
1. Minnie Mouse
The classical Minnie Mouse costume. This is easy to put together because all you really need are red bottoms, a black top, and some ears and you're set! For an extra pop you can even add red lipstick. Who needs a Mickey when you look this good?
2. Frat Boy
All you need is a dress shirt, some shorts or khakis and you're frat material. You can even add a hat, watch, or even a pair of sunglasses but don't forget the Sperry's!!
3. Sailor
You probably don't know how to operate a boat, but at least you'll look cute.
4. Football Player
You'll be the least athletic football player in this outfit, but the most fashionable with the cropped jersey and high-socks!
5. Netflix and Chill
I tried not to include two person costumes but when I saw this one I just had to. Even if you want to be Netflix without Chill you can, and the shirt and iron on letters could cost you easily under $10 at a craft store. Affordable and creative.
6. The Black Cat
This is probably the most common one you've seen throughout past Halloweens, but it's so simple. Just throw on something black with your ears and you're done. This is great for last minute costumes and so effortless.
7. Pin up Girl
This costume is fun and flirty, you'll be the fashion icon of the party.
8. Victoria Secret Angel
Probably the only time you can get away with saying you're a Victoria secret model, might as well enjoy it while it lasts!
9. The Purge
All you need is a face mask and a sexy outfit and you'll be ready for this years annual purge.
10. Clark Kent
At least you can pretend you're a superhero.
These costumes are basic, cheap, and easy to pull together. Being a broke college kid is rough but any of these costumes could be easily pulled together and are great for a party.
