Have you ever wanted to be a morning person? Have you ever wanted to be a little brighter in the mornings? I know I have, and so I was thinking what should I write about? Then it came to me, if I am wanting to be a more positive person and a little bit brighter in the morning than I’m sure more people want to know a few things I do, and maybe add it to their routine. These are just some ways I try to wake up earlier, be a little brighter not just with my morning but throughout the day and how I strive to be a more positive person. We all know when we throw good vibes out into the world, good vibes will flow wherever the wind blows. So let’s band together to throw some good vibes out there and make everyone's morning just a little bit brighter. I hope you enjoy my tips, let me know if they work for you. Always remember good vibes thrown are just a little piece of you making the world brighter.
Set your alarm an hour before you really have to get up and set it with a song that makes you want to get up and dance or that makes you wake up. Usually, I either have my alarm set to a song that I know I will wake up to and dance or a song that makes me sing aloud. Just put a song that will make you dance, smile and want to face the day as happy as that song makes you.
Take a shower right when you wake up. Skip the washing the face, brushing the teeth and using the bathroom first thing….. Swap it out with loud music and a hot shower. I promise you this will wake you up, and if you choose the happiest music, your mood will improve by at least 10 times.
Get ready, put your makeup on/ shave if you're a guy. Nothing sounds like getting the day ready then taking off your PJs, showering and getting yourself together.
Have quiet time. If you’re a Christian like myself, nothing quite makes my day better than talking to God, which I admit, I need to do more myself. But if you believe something different, just take a moment, get a journal and write down things that you are grateful for and then write down your plans today. Take that planner with you. I promise checking off everything on that list, will be rewarding.
Stay off the phone. Unless work calls you, your mother/father calls you or a sibling calls you. Stay off the phone. People spend more time on their phones nowadays than ANY other generation or time. Staying off your phone, soaking up the sun, reading a book or getting things done makes you feel 100000 times better. I sometimes will put my phone on airplane mode and just let the day go by. I feel so much better afterwards.
Play positive music on the radio. Play songs that make you wanna dance. You will smile and be happy by the end of the car ride if you’ve heard happy/dancing songs the whole way to wherever you're going.
I like to drink herbal teas, and I feel like they make me calmer and stronger to persevere throughout the day. So find something healthy to drink and persevere throughout the day.
Clean your room after you get ready, and make sure everything is where it should be and your bed is made. Doing something that productive in the morning will make the day more productive as well.
If you’re willing to persevere more and clean some more do your bathroom, do some laundry. Get your day started by making sure you and your space around is clean. When you take care of yourself and your own space it makes everything else that much better. Plus you will already notice how productive you’ve already been.
Eat a healthy breakfast full of protein and the kinds of foods you need. Nothing cures an empty stomach than filling it with foods your body needs and craves.
Always remember that YOU are beautiful, worth it and amazing. No matter what happens you will be always be one of a kind. Each day is a new day, and each day brings new promises.
These are just eleven tips that I’ve tried that has drastically made my day, morning and everything in between that much better. I feel better at night, I feel more productive and I’m a much more positive person when all these things happen. People will navigate towards you if you are positive because they want to be positive too. Spread those good vibes, try these tips and don’t forget even though tomorrow is Friday, we made it a whole week people.
