What would your favorite princess major in?

People have a tendency to believe that all Disney princesses are essentially the same. I am here to tell you this is completely untrue. Each of the princesses are certainly unique and possess their own special talents and abilities. Have you ever wondered what your favorite Disney princess would have majored in if she had gone to college? It looks like it's your lucky day, because I myself have pondered this and have made a list of what each of the princesses would be as college majors.

1. Business: Tiana

Like business majors, Tiana had big dreams of owning her own business. She is hardworking and ambitious, and not even being briefly turned into a frog can stand in the way of her achieving her dreams.

2. Nursing: Snow White

Snow White is gentle, caring and thoughtful, much like nursing majors. She is always thinking of others and putting their needs above her own.

3. Psychology: Elsa

Elsa is one of the most complex Disney princesses (okay, so she's technically a queen). She is unsure of who she is at first, but she learns a lot about herself. By the end of the movie, she has learned to control her powers and become emotionally intelligent- kind of like a psychology major.

4. Interdisciplinary Studies: Jasmine

Like Interdisciplinary Studies majors, Jasmine plays by her own rules. She doesn't blindly accept the rules laid out for her by society and demands to take control of her life.

5. English: Belle

"With a dreamy far off look, and her nose stuck in a book." Yes, Belle would definitely be an English major. Plus, she gets the happy ending from her favorite story- doesn't every English major dream about that?

6. Fashion Design: Cinderella

She may have started with rags, but she sure can clean up well. Like fashion majors, Cinderella turned every head at the ball. Plus, she understands how the right pair of shoes can change your life.

7. Political Science: Mulan

Don't pick a fight with Mulan or poly-sci majors- they will beat you every time. Mulan is strong willed and stands up for what she believes in, even if she is standing alone. Like political science majors, she is brave and a little bit crazy.

8. Theatre: Anna

Anna is dramatic and charming, much like theatre majors. You can find her at any given moment twirling around in brightly colored dresses, singing, and wrapping herself in velvet curtains.

9. Art: Rapunzel

Rapunzel is a true art major at heart. While she had a wide array of creative abilities, it is clear that painting was her favorite pastime.

10. Exercise Science: Merida

Merida was always doing something physically active, whether it be archery, horseback riding, or chasing wisps. It takes a special type of person to want to exercise that much, which is why she would be an exercise science major.

11. Education: Pocahontas

Pocahontas taught John Smith a lot about life. She showed him what corn was, how to talk to trees and the importance of painting with all the colors of the wind. Like any good teacher, she learned as much as she could from him, too.

12. Marine Biology: Moana

No matter how hard she tried, it was impossible for Moana to stay away from the ocean. She was made for the water, much like marine biology majors.

13. Undecided: Ariel

It took Ariel just a little bit longer than most to figure out where she belonged, but once she found it she never looked back.

14. Never went to college: Aurora

Aurora doesn't like to listen to people; she didn't stay away from that spinning wheel, and people who didn't go to college didn't pursue an extensive education society told them they needed. It's okay, it all worked out fine for everyone in the end.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
