With the recent announcement of Disney Channel airing a marathon of original movies, many kids, teens, young adults and adults are beginning to prepare for the legendary event.

Disney Channel is such a wide spread company that has touched many of us while growing up. This programming is one some can merely dream about. The marathon is taking place to celebrate the release of Disney Channel's 100th original movie, "Adventures in Babysitting." This story is based off of the 1980s version of the film, with popular Disney Channel actresses, such as Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson.

The marathon is to take place over Memorial Day weekend, consisting of original classic movies ranging everywhere from "Alley Cats Strike!" to "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century." A total of 51 movies will be shown over the course of the four days. A programming event to this extent has not been done before by the large organization that is Disney Channel. For some, myself included, this marathon will be life changing.

You may be asking yourself how might one prep for this phenomenon? Some necessities include, comfy clothes, food, friends, food, pillows/blankets, and more food. Because let's face it, you most likely won't be leaving your house the entire time. If for some awful reason you do have to leave, make sure there is plenty of room on your DVR and set every movie to record. Of course, it is acceptable to record the movies even if you are able to watch them at the time they air. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch "Smart House" for hours on end without being judged?

According to Disney Channel's press release on April 20, the full schedule of the marathon is as follows:

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
