The Difference Makers

With the NFL Free Agency in full effect, since Tuesday March 10th, we have seen many big-name players being picked up. These are the difference makers; the players that can ultimately change a team for the better. Below, we will discuss the players who have been claimed, and what they bring to their new teams.

Ndamukong Suh, Defensive Tackle

Suh has had his ups and downs since being drafted 2nd overall in the 2010 NFL Draft. Until this year, Suh played for the Lions, but had countless on-field issues such as when he stepped on the ankles of Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers QB). The Dolphins have decided to take a chance on Suh, signing him to a 6 year, $114 million dollar deal. He was the biggest name in the free agency this off-season. According to ESPN, Suh has led all defensive tackles in sacks (36), disruptive plays (50 percent), and total snaps (4,107). This makes him a nightmare to match up against, so good luck to you, Tom Brady! Suh joins the company of the newly acquired wide receiver Kenny Stills and Jordan Cameron, an electrifying young tight end., With a revamp of the Dolphin's roster, I hope to see a dangerous team this year.

Frank Gore, Running Back and Andre Johnson, Wide Receiver

The Colts came up triumphant in the start of free agency. Acquiring two dynamic offensive weapons, the Colts pair these two with the developing Andrew Luck. Gore and Johnson are quite familiar with one another, having played on the Miami Hurricanes together in college. When the chemistry is once again rekindled, this will definitely be a dangerous big three. Gore brings a drive to the field that is unmatched and unprecedented by any other player. He has not missed a game since the 2010 season, and has exploded for 1,000-yard seasons each of the last 4 years. Johnson is a huge target for Luck. Luck is the best QB Johnson has played with recently, so expect his numbers to skyrocket this year.

DeMarco Murray, Running Back

After trading away LeSean McCoy to the Bills, what would the Eagles do? The answer seems simple: replace the top RB of the 2013 season, with the top RB of the 2014 season. Murray led the NFL last season in rushing attempts (392), yards (1,845), and touchdowns (13). However, with a weaker offensive line than that of the Cowboys, will Murray be successful this year in Chip Kelly styled offense? I guess we will see, over the next five years. Murray has agreed to a five-year deal worth $42 million dollars. The Eagles also signed Ryan Matthews, so it will be interesting to see if they choose to run a two RB set, or alternate the two running backs throughout the season. With the newest addition of Sam Bradford, Murray's former roommate, the two bring chemistry to the team. That being said, be careful, the Eagles will be dangerous this season.

Darrelle Revis, Cornerback

And he's back Jets fans! Revis started his career with the Jets in 2007, playing with them until 2012. After a two-year stint playing around the NFL, most recently playing for the rival Patriots, Revis is “coming home." The Jets sheerly offered too much money, and this will most likely be Revis's final team before he considers retirement. The Jets were able to get this superstar, as well as his former teammate Antonio Cromartie. With the reunion of these two, the Jets secondary is a force to be reckoned with. Now they have to figure out their issues on the other side of the ball.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
