Dear Feminism, You Can Go

Logic or idiocy? The answer should be obvious, but feminists tend to be oblivious to a lot of things.

Dear Feminism, You Can Go
The Daily Beast

Over the past couple of years, feminism has really become a huge movement for other young women my age. The more I keep hearing these statements and opinions, the more I want to shove pencils in eyes and ears. I have many, many guy friends and I can honestly say that I’ve heard more sexist comments come from my girl friends than those from my guy friends. I’m appalled and so ashamed to be a woman in this generation. We all know that girls can be mean, but I never imagined women to be this terrible.

Let me ramble off a situation for you guys… If two parents go to court to fight for custody of their child(ren) and both parents seem to be equally unfit, you would assume that neither parents would get custody, correct? Well, sadly, you’re wrong. A lot of the time in these kinds of situations, the mother would be default. Well, just because you carried the child around for 9 months doesn’t make you a great parent, nor does it make you the better parent. Pregnancy is tough and giving birth is even harder, we all know. But you’re seriously ill if you think that makes you the better parent.

I did a study on domestic violence and rape in my family relations class last semester. It’s never an easy subject to talk about, but we’re going to anyways. Recently, there was a huge story in the news about a rape that occurred. Whenever you hear about rape in the news, it’s usually only the cases where men commit those crimes. Feminists like to push that rape is a male-perpetrated crime. Sadly, again, you’re wrong. There have been many cases and charges about women raping men and also being the perpetrator, but a lot of these stories don’t hit the big news channels. In some countries, even if there is proof to the crime committed, women are not punished, which I find to be a load of crap. Trying to push that only men can rape and be violent is ignorant and arrogant on so many levels. Also trying to fight that men have longer sentences than women for committing the exact same crime is a whole new level of stupid that I cannot even begin to understand.

Also, why in the hell are women trying to play off that they could do men's work better than they could, but won't get on their hands and knees because they're afraid of the dirt and hard work? This is definitely a situational debate, I will admit. But a lot of these women are trying to argue that they are undervalued for their work. Plot twist, you aren't unless you're running around complaining about it. There is man's work and there is woman's work and there's work that can be done by both genders. Both genders are equally appreciated, but if you try to fight the system and act like an arrogant prude, people are clearly going to look down on you. It's human nature. So, stop complaining and get back to work.

I could go on all day about feminism and how simpleminded these kinds of women are. What do you all actually want to do? Dictate how other people think and speak so you don’t go your feelings hurt? You want others to basically break their backs to ensure that your needs are met? You all are hysterical. And I really don’t want to hear “not all feminists are like that,” because that would be the biggest lie I have ever heard. To consider yourself to be a feminist should almost be complete and total social suicide. Feminism isn’t about equality. We all know you all just want to become superior to men, which is disgusting and illogical. So I would suggest going on and stopping while you’re on your high horse, because you’re not accomplishing much and you all don’t give a damn about equality like you all try to preach. It’s also such a shame that you all will never listen to logical reasoning and continue to push men to lose their sanity and humanity, but that will be on your conscious and not mine so I’m going to stop beating a dead horse. Just know that the feminist movement is useless.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
