Dear Democratic National Committee,
How dare you! How dare you take our votes away from us and hand the primary to Hillary Clinton. I am writing as a millennial who is a registered Independent. During the primaries I loved Senator Bernie Sanders and I wanted him to win the Democratic primary. However, you did whatever you could to sabotage his run against Clinton. There were issues in Arizona, California and Pennsylvania and you didn’t do anything about it. Do you not wish to have a democracy? No, you’re concerned with your corporate donors and not the well-being of this country. If you really wanted to be inclusive to the voters of the United States you would push for independents to be able to vote in primaries and caucuses because we make up a good amount of the electorate.
Like I said, I am not a Democrat or a socialist for that matter. I identify closest with the Libertarian Party. Gary Johnson has my vote this November. I also will not be shamed into voting for a third party. I don’t want to hear “I vote for Johnson is a vote for Trump.” If you wanted to not lose this election then you would have gone with Bernie as your nominee. Too many people were a part of the “Bernie or Bust” movement and will not accept Clinton as the nominee. A good portion of Bernie’s supporters are independents and they are now flocking to Jill Stein and Gary Johnson. You are more concerned with yourselves than the people you "want to represent."
Hillary Clinton has been the focus of numerous investigations, not seen as trustworthy or honest and she’s the one you want representing your party? Well, it seems to make sense for a party that is already corrupt to pick a corrupt candidate. You don’t want progressive change like Senator Sanders does you want power, control and money. When you have someone like Bernie Sander; A charismatic and compassionate man who has a clean record versus a very corrupt candidate and you want us to comply with that? Heck no!! I am voting my conscience and millions of other Americans will as well.
If you don’t want a Trump presidency then put Bernie up on that stage against Trump or you can allow Governor Johnson and Dr. Jill Stein up there on the stage to actually debate the issues and one of them will take him down. The choice is yours.
Regards,
Angry Voter Justin Michel
