After months of being trapped inside because of the cold, Mother Nature has finally graced us with beautiful spring weather. Now that the weather is warm and the anticipation for summer has finally kicked in, spring fever has inevitably taken over. Because of the restlessness and excitement that spring fever is responsible for, it may be hard to concentrate on your responsibilities. You may be spending your days blowing off studying for finals or skipping your 10 a.m. class in an attempt to cure your restlessness. If you follow some of the tricks listed below, you should be able to cure spring fever.

1. Take a trip.

If you have an opportunity to go on a weekend getaway or even a short day trip, you should seize it. A change of scenery can get spring fever out of your system.

2. Clean/Organize

Take some time out of your day to do some spring cleaning. Although it may seem arduous at first, organizing can be therapeutic.

3. Eat a balanced diet.

Drinking plenty of water and eating fruits and vegetables can make you feel better no matter what problem you are experiencing.

4. Be aware that your body is in a state of transition.

When the weather becomes warm again body temperature goes up, blood pressure goes down, and serotonin (the “feel good” hormone) takes control. Give yourself time to adjust and be patient with yourself.

5. Exercise

Exercise is a great and productive way to release pent up energy.

6. Go outside

There’s no harm in getting some vitamin D and enjoying fresh air. Not only can it make you feel refreshed, but you can always multitask and do work outside. Also, getting back into your typical routine of bike riding, picnics, and other outdoorsy activities can help you readjust.

7. Do yoga or meditation

Yoga and meditation are famous for being effective calming practices.

8. Start a new project.

A sense of accomplishment can put your restless mind at ease. So if you’ve been daydreaming about fixing up your old car, learning a new language, or even simply reading a book you’ve never read, starting a new project can put an end to your spring fever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
