Admit it, when it comes to the biggest football game of the year, you are more focused on the commercials. We thrived on the anticipation of counting down the minutes to see your team win the Vince Lombardi Trophy. However what makes Super Bowl Sunday amazing is the commercials, with the exception of the halftime show.
Over the years, there have been some incredible commercials from the Budweiser “Lost Dog” to Snickers featuring Betty White so the commercials for Super Bowl 50 had some catching up to do. So here are some commercials we could not wait to see during Super Bowl 50.
1. Drake in Restricted Bling
Drake’s “Hotline Bling” was the most talked about of 2015 and is the main focus in a commercial for T-Mobile. When you say "Call me on my cell phone", just add, "Device eligible for an upgrade after 24 months," a woman tells Drake. Drake, in return, gives a sarcastic response: “These changes do not change the song at all.”
2. Liam Neeson in “Man from the Future”
Liam Neeson is known for his voice, showcased in the popular movie "Taken." Now he is being showcased in LG’s commercial and the phone is not the only star.
3. Kevin Hart in “First Date”
What’s a commercial without the great comedian, Kevin Hart? So he is spotlighted in Hyundai’s commercial as an overprotective parent who is overbearing his daughter on her first date.
4. Steven Tyler in “The Portrait”
Here is your chance to see Steven Tyler as a portrait, but with a twist. This is no ordinary portrait because he is made completely out of Skittles. Not only do we get to see a portrait of the one and only Steven Tyler but we also get to hear his amazing voice. All I got to say is: Amazing!
5. Colgate's “Save Water”
Without even saying a word, the Colgate Commercial pulled at my heartstrings because the biggest war we are fighting in the world is water shortages. So Colgate emphasizes on saving every drop in their 2016 commercial.
6. Doritos' “Ultrasound”
Every year Doritos always ends up in the top commercials of the Super Bowl because of their memorable funny scenes. This commercial begins with a dad eating some Doritos in the examination room during his wife’s ultrasound. What the parents do not know is their unborn child’s craving for Doritos.
