There are few things that college students love more than naps. You can hear college students brag about the naps that they've taken, and sometimes how they've planned out how they're going to fit a nap into their schedule. College students are always tired, so naps are always the solution. Here are the eight reasons that college students love naps the most.

1. There are times to nap

In college, time is limited, and naps are a good way to get some sleep. Naps can be short enough that they fit between classes.

2. They can be used as motivators

Sometimes, I take naps as a study break. Naps can also be used as a way to reward yourself for studying hard. Having rewards for all of the work that you do in college is important, and naps are free rewards.

3. They bring true happiness

College students are always so happy when they take naps; it is often described as the best parts of some days or weeks. Naps rank very high on a list of things that college students look forward to the most.

4. You can avoid your obligations

If you're asleep, you can't be worried about all of the things you have to do. Naps are better for avoiding work than doing anything else, especially since you normally are less aware of what you're avoiding.

5. It's a form of self-care

Taking naps is one way that students can make sure that they don't burn out over the semester. Self-care is something that college students frequently talk about, but don't actually do, and having a very easy way to take care of yourself is important.

6. Science backs up the fact that naps are good for you

If nothing else, college students can convince themselves that naps are good for their health because science backs up the fact that 30-minute naps can improve productivity and improve alertness.

7. Naps are healthier than caffeine

Your body needs sleep -- it doesn't need extra caffeine. Caffeine addictions are no joke with college students, and neither is the fact that college students will sometimes replace sleep with caffeine. Even if naps seem like a waste of time, it's better than the alternative.

8. Naps can happen anywhere

College students aren't going to judge you if you're taking a nap in public; it's just considered normal after a while. If you don't have time to go home, but can find a comfortable place to catch some quick sleep, no one is going to stop you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
