On Wednesday November 2, 2016 the Cleveland Indians made it to game 7 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs. The game went into the 10th inning and both teams put up a good fight. The Cleveland Indians didn't win but the game was unpredictable and unlike any other I have ever seen.
Since the Cleveland Cavaliers won in Game 7 people of the city were hopeful that the Indians were capable of doing the same. Waking up the morning after and staying up extremely late for the game had me bitter but blessed. To be apart of Cleveland means much more than just a win in game seven or overtime. Our team made it this far even with injuries. We weren't supposed to make it to the playoffs let alone through the playoffs and into the World Series. The way our city has been since the Cavaliers of 2015 has been like no other. We lost to the Warriors in 2015 and came back and won it all this year.
Our city is amazing and I could not be anymore proud of it.
We have no reason to be ungrateful because our city is the best. We still support the Browns no matter how many games they lost and how incapable they are. We are dedicated and faithful to our city. The dynamic during the Cavaliers championship was astonishing, the energy downtown was unlike I've ever seen up until this past Wednesday I saw a repeat in that energy. The Indians being in the World Series is enough for me to live by Cleveland and represent my city.
We can't win every battle and the fact that we got that far is unbelievable. Cleveland took the lost to heart but the city is ready for more wins and we will get better. A lot of people had broken hearts but if you are truly devoted you don't allow that to make you hate your team. A positive outlook on the series and Cleveland is the best. Positivity is the way to get past a downfall and I know better than to let this bring me down. We have keep striving and hoping that maybe next year we will get another opportunity like this and we will win. We'll pull through this and being a dedicated fan comes with the adversity but it happens.
I am proud of our team and I am proud of our city.
