Cleveland Against The World

Now that Cleveland is finally receiving the attention it deserves people are coming out of the woodwork trying to call out Clevelander's saying that their "team" is still better. Obviously The Cleveland Cavaliers are the 2016 NBA World Champions and The Cleveland Indians are up 2-1 in the World Series. So PLEASE stop trying to convince me that this ISN'T Cleveland's year. (The Brown's currently do not count... But we still love them no matter what). Regardless, if The Indians win The World Series or not *#BELIEVELAND* it doesn't mean you need to start a Facebook war with your friends. Because, no matter what it's not going to change our Cleveland State Of Mind (sorry we're not sorry). There are plenty of die hard Cleveland Sports fans that are *shockingly* FROM Cleveland, so lets take some notes here if you live in the 216, but do not follow Cleveland Sports.

For starters, I can not stand when people troll other peoples' Facebook posts and tell me that "their team" is better. Whether you are from Massachusetts and support The New England Patriots or you are a total Boston Red Sox fan, or you're even from Pittsburgh and you live and breathe The Steelers,(the two most annoying fan bases in my personal opinion) please stay away from me and my social media posts. I would never comment on a blog, tweet, or Facebook post telling you how much I love Cleveland and your sports teams suck. My personal favorite trolling post is that Cleveland "just started winning this year". I realize everyone has a right to their own opinion, but aren't we all adults?! Don't diss The Land just because you don't drink the Cleveland Kool-Aid.

According to an article I read posted by Forbes magazine, Cleveland is pretty much the place to be (obviously I'd agree). We held the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland (in our championship arena...). We also have the one and only(and very famous) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Not to mention some of the best chef's including Michael Symon (who is a Cleveland Native), has won several awards on his 'B-Spot Burgers' and total has 7 VERY successful restaurants in or around Cleveland. Lets not forget, that CLE also won 3 different championships this year with the Lake Erie Monsters, Stipe Miocic, and of course our beloved Cavaliers. (Let's get 4th times a charm, right Indians?) If you don't believe me, just read this quote that the King of the NBA, (Lebron James) told the fans when they were about to raise the NBA Championship banner on October 25th, 2016:

"At this point, if you're not from here, live here, or play here and dedicate yourself to Cleveland... Then it makes no sense for you to live at this point. Cleveland Against The World!"

When everyone doubted us when we were on our way to winning the NBA Title, reporters would say to Lebron that no one has ever came back from a 1-3 record in the Finals, and so simply, Lebron responded, "Records are meant to be broken"...

Let me live in this perfect world where Cleveland sports are doing well and fans are really doing everything they can to #RallyTogether.

In the nicest way I can ask you, please stop trying to make me root for your team, or better yet- defend MY beloved Cleveland teams when its currently our time to shine. Take your negative attitude elsewhere, thank you.

CLE> Everywhere else.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
