As college kids, we are looking for a fun way to use our time out of school. There are so many fun adventures that we could participate in but the problem is money, most of these adventures are too expensive to do more than one. I have had to privilege to live in Michigan, where we have many cheap adventures! I went to many of these places with my family and friends, and they were trips that I will never ever forget! It did not matter how much money we spend or how many fancy things we did, it just mattered that we were together having fun!
1. Climbing Sleeping Bear Dunes
From experience I can say that visiting the area of Sleeping Bear Dunes is very worth while. It is a beautiful place to be with friends or family! You can climb the dunes, go camping and swim. It is a perfect place to get a weekend away from the house!
2. Summer U.P. Road-Trip
Me and my friends last summer decided to go on a cheap summer vacation and we thought what better than Mackinaw Island. We went for four nights, went on many adventures and only spend around $150 each! It was a very worthwhile and inexpensive trip that I will never forget.
3. Swim In One Of The Five Great Lakes
Where ever you are in Michigan, you are never too far from one of our beautiful lakes. Nothing is more fun then grabbing your best friends and heading to the beach to swim, play volleyball or soccer, and get a tan. Or for some of us paler people, it's the perfect time to get a nice burn.
4. Michigan's Adventure
Michigan's Adventure is a amusement park in Michigan, and is a fun way to spend a day without spending too much money. You can buy a day pass for just $31! This also includes the water park! This is a great place to go with your friends and spend a nice day running around riding rides!
5. Visit One Of The Many Zoo's
There are zoo's located in Battle Creek, Lansing, and Detroit! A zoo is a great and cheap place to bring your family on a nice summer day. I have gone to the Battle Creek and the Detroit zoo! They both are a great place to bring the family or go on a date, they have amazing animals, fun games and many places to eat!
No matter where you go this summer, just remember that there are many fun things you can do that will not break you bank account! You can find many different cheap adventures in any state! Doesn't matter if it is going to a beach, the zoo, an amusement park or just having a bonfire at your house, I promise if you choose wisely you can budget your money and still have enough for school in the fall!
