Success is the outcome of a journey you endure yourself. The path will contain hardships, push you to your limit of no return and make you almost give up. Without the struggle there is no praise on how far you have come as an individual. You are here for a reason so why not make the most of it? ( I know you are thinking that I am corny and you do not need a lecture but hear me out).
Everyone has their own story and struggles. I learned at a young age that the toughest battles were always given to the strongest soldiers. I have fought countless demons to be who I am today. I know what is like to go to school and be told you can not go home and be placed in protective care through the department of children and families. I do not like talking about my past but it is apart of who I am today. I moved around a lot and was treated like a puzzle piece that would never find the right fit. I would not change any aspect of my past. My family is phenomenal and my friends are a huge support system. I am one of the lucky ones. A little help can go a long way. Remaining positive helped me to become the resilient person I am today.
Let me guess, you are sitting on your couch right now reading this with ideas on your mind about where or what to do next. I encourage you to pursue those dreams. I am not asking you to get in a rocket and fly to the moon right now. Set small and large goals. When you are 85 and look back on your life at this very moment would you be genuinely happy? So take those chances and do not fear the consequences or what ifs. Tell that person you love them, pour your heart out, book that vacation, quit your miserable job, stand up for your beliefs and opinions, believe in yourself, eat that cupcake, lose the weight you have been wanting too. It is all mind over matter. Instead of seeing yourself as the way society views you, start loving yourself and the person you are becoming. Cherish the moments and memories while you can. The world can be a cruel and evil place if you let it in your head. I choose to remain positive despite the heartbreak some situations have. Life is not going to be easy but I know in the end it is worth the pain and suffering. Beauty can be seen everywhere if you look hard enough. I strive to make a difference in the world even if it is just making one or two people smile a day. Take one day at a time and remember to be fearless with who you are. You're amazing and I believe in you.
