The thrilling ride of the Cavaliers run in the playoffs was equivalent to being on a rollercoaster ride, so what if Cedar Point decided to dedicate roller coaster to some of the Cavalier players, what coaster would go to which player?
1. Lebron James - Millennium Force
Lebron is the king of the Cavaliers, the king of the NBA, and let's be honest the Millennium is the king of Cedar point, and the king of Roller Coasters. You can't hate the Millennium and you can't hate Lebron, no matter who he's playing for. Both never seem disappoint and will always take you on a thrilling ride. There was never a day when you didn't walk into Cedar Point and say "eh I don't feel like riding the Millennium Force today, it's not that great" and there's never a day that goes by where you say "eh Lebron James really isn't that great at basketball"
2. Kyrie Irving - the Maverick
The Maverick young and is known for its speed and tricky turns. Hmm, kinda sounds like Kyrie doesn't it? And you don't want to get to comfortable riding the Maverick because you never know when it's going to just stop and then take off at 70mph. Just like Kyries defenders don't want to get too comfortable and flatfooted while standing him up, or their ankles just might be broken. Remember that time Steph Currys ankles were broken? Here I'll remind you...
3. Kevin Love - Rougarou
What was once known as the Mantis had a little repair done and is now known as the Rougarou. After a tragic and sad shoulder injury against the Celtics during last years playoff run Kevin Love did the same. A little repair and PT time and he was back. Both the same build and ride/person but ready to run better than before. The Rougarou is loved and hated, just like Kevin Love. He has his good games and his bad games, but he never fails to look good doing it, so at least you enjoy looking at it. You may choose not to ride the Rougarou that day at Cedar Point, but at least it looks pretty while it stands there.
4. Tristian Thompson - Gate Keeper
The Gate Keeper, created in 2013, Tristian Thompson drafted in 2011. Not too far apart from each other the relate well. After averaging 9 rebounds per game you could always count on Thompson to protect the house, kind of like the job of The Gate Keeper. Taking you through loops through the entrance gates of Cedar Point, The Gate Keeper keeps an eye on the park, defending the house, as does Tristian Thompson with the Q (or whatever basket the Cavs are defending), making them perfect match.
5. J.R Smith - Mean Streak
J.R Smith, a player you can always count on to be scrappy and ready to play and give it his all. Equivalent to the Mean Streak, a timeless ride you can always count on for a good time, but it's bumpy and scrappy because of its older build. J.R Smith has spent a good amount of years in the NBA, but not yet what I would consider old, but because of the way he plays, always one of the first guys to dive on the floor for the ball and his aggressive ball playing ways, him and the Mean Streak are very similar.
6. Richard Jefferson - Valravn
Richard Jefferson may have been in the pros for 15 years, but he came to the Cavaliers in 2015, and the Valravn just joined the Cedar Point family this May of 2016. Not knowing exactly what to expect from either, Jefferson came out of nowhere when he started Game 3 when Love was out with a concussion. He didn't disapoint. Neither did the Valravn. And just like most Cedar Point rides, you can't ride them just once, you need to multiple times, maybe another 2 times while you're at the park. I guess that makes sense why Jefferson decided to go against his reteriment and join the Cavs for another 2 years, cause you can't play with them for just one year and be done. (especially after a championship)
7. Iman Shumpert - Top Thrill Dragster
Last but not least, Iman Shumpert. Whenever the Cavaliers need a burst of energy and quick playing and movement you can count on Iman Shumpert. And when you think burst of energy and quickness, what is the first coaster on your mind at Cedar Point...Top Thrill Dragster. No matter how many times he comes off the bench he is always a blast to watch, just like no matter how many times in the day you ride the Dragster, it never fails to be fantastic. Shumpert is quick and never disappoints, over and over again, parallel to riding the Dragster. Iman Shumpert is the Top Thrill Dragster.
