Can't Sleep? You're not alone. Trust me! It may be my new work schedule which makes my sleep schedule crazy, but I can't fall asleep till 3:30/4 am on any given night...no matter how tired I am.

So here are 12 remedies to help you get to sleep faster and stay asleep!

1. Warm Milk? Gross.

Drink some sleepy time tea (any brand) right before bed.

2. Take a hot shower or bath before bed.

It will relax all your muscles and make it easier to fall asleep.

3. Take your vitamins!

These are AMAZING! You can get them at Target and/or CVS around the Cleveland area!

4. Exercise can help improve sleep quality.

It’s important to schedule workouts that end at least 2 hours before bed so that post-workout adrenaline boost doesn’t keep you up.

5. This may sound silly, but reserve the bed for sleep, and sex only.

Do this so your mind associates the bedroom with relaxation. Sleep and sex, yes. Work and Bills? Yeah, not so much.

6. Keep your bedroom cool!

It's recommended that bedrooms are kept between 60 - 75 degrees. If you're a cold baby like me, I keep mine at 74, and add an extra blanket on the bed :)

7. Sleeping with pets is great, for the pet but it's not so great for you.

Sleeping with pets interferes with your sleep so cuddle all you want with them! Then let your pet get comfy in their own bed.

8. Listen to music.

Whatever is soothing to you should help you drift off to sleep.

9. Sniff some lavender!

Whether it's a candle or essential oil this will help you get to sleep quickly.

10. Put the cell phone and computer away.

Electronic waves can actually keep you awake. So stop sleeping with your cellphone (I'm guilty of this) and set it on your nightstand.

11. Try some Yoga. Stretching helps to relax you, and there is no better time than before bed.

10. Wind your mind down.

Watch some mindless tv, read for pleasure, anything that's going to make you wind down from your day.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
