One of my New Years resolutions is to be more appreciative. Instead of apologizing for things I think are an inconvenience to others, I'm starting to be thankful for their attentiveness. With people you are constantly around, it can become very easy to take certain things for granted.
I could go on being very cliche and repetitive trying to tell you how much my significant other means to me, but nobody wants (or needs) to hear that. Honestly though, boyfriends deserves much more recognition! There is never a bad time to let your lover know how special they are.

Sharing Your Passions With Me
You may get upset when I don't quite understand, yet are so patient and continue to make me better. I know nobody will quite understand how much you love certain things, but I will try to embrace them. Before you, I had no clue how to play basketball. I was a fumbling mess on the court and couldn't shoot to save my life! I'm not significantly better than I was then, but just last week I had my first block against him. I'm starting to enjoy what he loves just like he appreciates what I adore. We are heading to "our" first NBA game this week and I couldn't be more excited.
Supporting Me
You're my biggest fan! Thank you for always believing in me and knowing I can do anything I set my mind towards. Not only do you support me, but you help me to achieve my goals. Together, we are going to accomplish so many things. Without your loving support, I would be that less motivated to make myself and those around me better. My new year will be significantly better alongside your mindset.
Giving Me Your Clothes, No Questions Asked
Something that never grows old...There is something about snuggling up in a big hoodie that comforts you instantly. But having it smell like your (clean) boyfriend? It's better than warm fluffy blankets when the weather is just right. Any article of clothing is amazing to have and lounge around in...until they ask for it back.
Petting ALL The Animals With Me
I love all animals, especially cats. If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my animal obsession. Not only does my boyfriend take me to the animal shelters, he pets the dogs and turns into a little kid. We sit on humane society floors making faces and talking to dogs in baby voices. Thanks for understanding how adorable all puppers are with me.
Pigging Out Guilt-Free With Me
Thank you for eating our body weight in pizza at least once a week with me. Along with BDUBS, cheese, pop, Twix, cheesy bread, Starbucks, and dozens of other food only we can fully appreciate. There is nobody I would rather share food with. You always make me feel beautiful even when you're helping me wipe garlic crust off my fingers.
Being My Best Friend
There is so much more to being a boyfriend than just silly materialistic things and expressions of love. It's also falling in love with your closest friend. You get to hear all the pointless drama I come across in a day and pretend to care, you help me pick out outfits, you grab things I can't reach because I'm way too short (and you have a 1.5 foot advantage over me), and get to know every little thing about me. You're the best best friend I could have ever dreamt of!
