1. You have a personal cheerleader

When the days get long and it seems like ALL of your professors are assigning things for the same time, he'll be there to tell you that you can get through it.

2. He'll encourage you when he does his homework

If he can do it, so can you.

3. Study dates are more fun

Anything is more fun with someone you love - even homework.

4. You'll get excited to tell him about a good grade

He was most likely there to see how hard you studied, so he'll be excited to see your hard work pay off.

5. You want to make him proud

There's nothing more comforting than knowing that the most important person in your life is proud of you.

6. You'll understand priorities better

You're no longer living the single life where nothing matters but you. You'll have to learn how to split your time between you, him, and school.

7. Your mind will clear after you vent to him

He's your go-to person to vent to and after you get all of your anger out, you'll be ready to get your work done again.

8. He'll be there with open arms if you fail a test and then he'll help you study harder

Bad grades happen but he'll be ready to help you make sure you ace the next exam.

9. He's your greatest motivations

You'll want to make sure you get all your work done so that you both can kick back and enjoy each other's company - stress-free.

10. He's a great much-needed distraction

Whether it be a hug or a midnight food run after cramming for five hours, he'll be there to distract you as much as you need to keep you sane.

11. He can give you pointers about certain classes

If he's taken your classes before you, you can get the inside scoop on your professors and how they *really* grade assignments.

12. He can tutor you

Thanks to him, math just got a lot less scary.

13. He'll prove himself through the stressful times

Even though he doesn't know it, just him being there for you will make you fall in love with him all over again.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
