Ladies, Ask Yourself If The Guy You're Dating Would Be Good Enough For Your Daughter

If the answer is no, then something is seriously wrong.

Girls, we need to have a serious chat. I'm not really sure how it happened, but somehow as a generation of women we decided that it was OK to be treated like our feelings don't matter. We all have words for them: f-boy, player, womanizer, jerk, loser, toxic...but the truth is, there wouldn't be as many of the kind of boys if we didn't pretend that what they were doing was alright. They are behaving the way that they do because even though they treat us like dirt, we still allow them to slither into our lives like the snakes that they are.

So, next time the guy in your life does something to you, ask yourself if it would be okay if a boy did that to your future daughter.

I'm not really sure where the origin of the womanizer began, I mean I know Brittany sang about it in 2008, but it has been going on for way too long. And I know what you're thinking, if Jesus hadn't have made them so freaking handsome it wouldn't be so hard to let go, but you still deserve way more than a guy that only makes plans with you when his "boyz" cancel on him.

You also deserve more than a guy that you only hear from after 10 p.m... especially if it's something along the lines of "Hey, can I come over." Next time you get that text, block him and run away because I can promise he wants way more "chilling" than Netflix (get it, Netflix and chill...yeah you got it, nevermind).

You deserve a guy that will plan a date with you IN ADVANCE and then actually shows up on time. You deserve a guy that you can proudly introduce to your parents, because he is everything they have always wanted for you.

The sad thing about all of this is that if someone treated your daughter this way...you would probably wanna punch their teeth in. So, why would you let this guy treat you that way? I promise, there is someone out there that you are meant to find.

Someone out there that makes your heart stop, and who gives you those butterflies you always hear people talking about. Sure, maybe I have spent WAY too much time watching Nicholas Sparks movies while eating ice cream, but at the end of the day I believe that everyone can find their person.

So, let's all join together and so NO to the f-boy, womanizer, jerk, player, loser (you can pick your favorite). Because the truth is, if their actions stop getting them what they want…then eventually they will change their actions.

Remember, if they wouldn't be good enough for your daughter, then they aren't good enough for you either.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
