Staying healthy is easy if you really think about it- here's 10 tips to #BeWell over winter break.

1. Don't Ditch the Diet.

I know it's so simple to drop everything for all those yummy desserts and fatty foods over the holidays, but come on guys we're not savages! Don't forget about your morals and how you feel about eating right. A sweet dessert is okay in moderation but I don't want to catch you binging out (more than once anyway.)

2. Stay Productive.

Even though we're on break from tests and homework, we must keep in mind that we can't let our bodies and minds completely shut down. Keep up with schoolwork, hell, buy your books ahead of time if you're not too busy- a head start is never a bad idea.

3. Reconnect.

No I don't mean connecting to your parent's home WiFi (Because UNH secure will never be good enough) Reconnecting with old friends from home is great idea to keep busy and catch up with people from your past! It's always fun to see what everyone is up to, even if you're just being petty when you realize you're better off than someone else.

4. Work It Out.

Whether you're a gym rat or just a light walker, exercise is vital to healthy lifestyle. Now listen, I understand that not everyone is a workout junkie- all I'm asking for is a walk, a yoga class, snowboarding. Get active, you'll have fun I promise!

5. Find a New Hobby.

I swear it's worth it- this goes along with being productive. If you can't bring yourself to think about school it might be a good idea to busy yourself with something new! Some fun things try are knitting, ice-skating, skiing- even a book club!

6. Sleep.

I mean it guys, get some rest! Netflix nights can 100% take up your a piece of your night but this is the best time to catch up on some sleep. This goes both ways though, too much sleep can make you lethargic and unmotivated- at least try to get up every day by a decent time.

7. Take Care.

TREAT YO'SELF. Long baths, manicures, that new protein shake you've been meaning to try. This is the time to take yourself into consideration- after cramming for finals and spoiling your friends with gifts, it's time to take care of yourself.

8. Budget.

After spending all of your money on gifts and those fun winter activities, figuring out a routine budget can be not only humbling but helpful for the on-coming semester. Whether you work during the semester or you're divvying out some savings- a spreadsheet of available funds will be easy to look as when you're scraping around for buck or two.

9. Become Inspired.

The holiday's are a time of travel, cheer and a little chill! Being away from school will allow you the time to think outside of the box and get crafty. Read, write, get creative!

10. Celebrate.

Remember, this break is a time for college students to be at ease, so don't stress! Spend time with your family and friends, eat, play, be merry!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
