As soon as the clock struck 12 a.m. on New Year's Day, the Christmas decorations were put up and pink and red hearts filled the shelves of stores. Yeah, it's that time of year again.
So, apparently, some silly little priest left a note for some random chick before he was executed by an emperor, so now we have to give chocolates and receive flowers once a year in February now. Even worse, if you're single, then you get to watch other people be showered with gifts and sulk as you sit alone in the corner stuffing your face. That's some holiday, am I right?
Don't let being single stop you from having a fun V-Day.
Valentine's Day is about all kinds of love. This day can be about all of the relationships in your life. Don't forget to let all the people in your life know that you love them and appreciate them in some way, like a card or a text.
Or go out and have a Galentine's Day and be cool like Leslie Knope.
Go out to dinner somewhere like Olive Garden with your squad. You also don't have to worry about dressing up for anyone except yourself, which is, by the way, how it should always be!
Or you could do what I am doing and watch "How To be Single."
Rebel Wilson is definitely someone who I'd want to spend this day with. Or any day, for that matter.
(I really enjoy a good Rebel Wilson GIF. She is the best person of all time. I just had to add this one, as it just goes perfectly with the theme of this post.)
To all my fellow single ladies: you can want a man, but please don't need a man. Be happy that you are not wasting your time with a loser and know that your special someone is out there and that you will find them in time. Until then, go have the time of your life.
Also, release your inner spirit animal (like "Single Ladies" era Beyoncé).
