A person can turn on the TV any time of the day, 365 days a year and one thing will be true: There will be a sporting event somewhere in the world that is being broadcasted. Depending on the month of the year though, the sporting event may differ, causing either immense frustration for fans of different sports, or extreme elation for the diehards. So that brought up the question, just what months are considered best for sports? Here's the list.
March
March Madness. Must we say more? During March, the NCAA basketball tournament takes place, and the NBA season is in full swing. With names such as Buddy Hield and Kris Valentine, combined with the shocking upsets in the NCAA tournament make March a very good month for sports. But once you add in the fact that the NBA currently contains some of the best players of all time with names such as Stephen Curry and Lebron James, March becomes an amazing month for sports.
Added Bonus: For people who don’t like basketball, tune in to ESPN for coverage of the Indians Wells Masters, a major tennis tournament with the biggest names in the game.
April
Baseball season begins, presenting fans with names such as Mike Trout, David Price and Jake Arrieta. With these big names comes the perfect games, no-hitters and walk-off home run providing immense enjoyment for fans. During April, the NBA playoffs begin, selling out stadiums and giving some of the best TV ratings of the year.

September
NFL season kicks off in September and thus there is a clear spike in TV ratings on Sundays and Mondays. The greatest fanbases in sports exist in the NFL with teams such as the Steelers, Cowboys and Packers rooting on their teams. Also during September is the end of the regular season for baseball. The last couple of weeks always are filled with close matchups to decide who makes it into the playoffs, creating a very intense environment.

January
The NFL playoffs begin during January as the teams inch closer and closer to the Super Bowl. During January the NCAA College Football National Championship takes place, and with the new playoff format, the games get even more intense.

October
The World Series takes place during October. ‘Nuff said. But in all seriousness, with the seven-game World Series comes a long, tense two weeks. The NFL season is in full swing and sports are alive. October is king of sports.
