Valentine's Day is not a day to be sad. It's a day to either celebrate with your special someone or a day to celebrate time with your best friends. This Valentine's Day, don't be the girl moping around on her couch, get together your best girl friends and pick from these 12 things to do together.

Have fun with one another!

Romantic Comedies

Make a list of the best romantic comedies and binge watch them on this day! Instead of crying get a good laugh! I definitely recommend Crazy Rich Asians or Bridesmaids. A classic and a new movie. Curl up with some delicious treats and your best girl friends and start binge watching!

Work it out

Go to a fun workout class with your besties. Maybe a kickboxing class or zumba! Take your anger out in a good workout. It's never too early to be working on that summer body!

Craft Night

Get your favorite glass of wine (if old enough) and a creative DIY project off of Pinterest and have a craft night with your besties.

Brunch it up

Go to your favorite brunch place with your girl friends and just get out of the house and eat some good food with your favorite people. Calories don't count on a day like V-day.

Retail Therpay

Nothing says good therapy like going to the mall and shopping until you drop. Even if you don't pull out your credit card shopping with your friends, trying on crazy clothes and having fun is something you need this Valentine's Day.

Relaxation is key

This day is a day to call in sick and hit the spa! Facials, massages, and mani-pedis are the way to go. Even if you go by yourself, it's a time to reflect and relax! You deserve it!

Karaoke Night

Whether it is at your favorite karaoke restaurant/bar or just in your own living room. Singing always makes me feel better and its the best way to have a good laugh with your friends.

All chocolate bake night

Put together a bunch of chocolate recipes and bake a bunch of goodies with your best friends! Of course, you have to taste test them as well.

An old-fashion sleepover

Invite your best girlfriends over and a good old fashion sleepover. This way you comfort each other and aren't alone the whole night! Surround yourself with friends and happiness.

Photoshoot

Pick a cute park or place nearby and have a photo shoot with your favorite girls and post some cute pictures on Instagram.

Rolling through the day

Get out of the house! Go bowling, rollerblading or ice skating. Pick an activity that all of you will enjoy and have fun with it.

Gift Exchange

There's no reason not to get gifts on valentines day whether your single or not. Get a group of your single girlfriends today and do a white elephant or secret cupid gift exchange! This way everyone has something to open this Valentine's day.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
