Be With Someone Who Makes You Better

Seeing the best in someone is so important in love.

Be With Someone Who Makes You Better
Reilly Nesbitt

It is so important to find someone who makes you want to be a better person. When you find someone who sees the absolute best in you, they work hard to show you how wonderful you truly are. When someone loves you, they want you to see yourself the way they see you. They want to show you how special of a person you are and for you to realize your true potential. Their confidence in you will be contagious.

Be with someone who motivates you to be the best person you can be. Who believes in you and wants to see you succeed. This person will help you get there without pressuring you. They will positively inspire you with their kind words and empowering actions. This person will make you dream big and believe that anything is possible. Because they see the absolute best in you, they believe in you. They want you to achieve these goals because they know how important they are to you. These types of people are selfless. They want what is best for you. They want you to be better.

When you’re feeling down, you can go to this person and they will build you up. It’s natural to experience a few bad days here and there — we are human. But having someone by your side who will motivate you to get through these times is important. Someone who loves you and cares about you doesn’t want you to hurt.

Be with someone who will push your boundaries to do things you’ve never done, because they believe that you are capable. This person should exhilarate you. They will challenge you because they know that moving out of your comfort zone is not always an easy task. While they help push your boundaries, they are encouraging you to grow.

Be with someone who makes you want to be a better partner. Someone who makes you want to look at the way you love others, especially your partner. You won’t need to think twice about the way you treat them because you’ll WANT to give them endless amounts of love. This person will bring out the best in you, because they lead by example. They possess all the qualities you wish to have; therefore, you can learn from them.

Although this person is making you better, they are not changing the person you are. Instead, they are enhancing your positive qualities and showing you all the potential you have.

Now that you have read the qualities of a good partner, it’s important to remember that this goes both ways. You partner should feel the same way about you. You should be able to build them up during the hard times, and show them their true potential because you believe in them. You will bring out the best in this person because you are leading by example.

And when you find this person, don't let them go.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
