According to Dictionary.com, writer's block is defined as "a usually temporary condition in which a writer finds it impossible to proceed with the writing of a novel, play, or other work." This condition strikes many writers across the world, from Argentina to Zimbabwe, and those many writers often find it hard to shake this terrible affliction. Odds are you, reading this, have been hit by the awfully solid brick known as writer's block.

But did you know getting rid of writer's block is easier than you think? Just follow these 5 steps and you'll be writing like Stephen King in the coke-fueled 1970s!

5. Drink A Glass of Water

Nothing replenishes the mind-well like a cool refreshing glass of hydrating H20!

4. Go Outside

Nothing replenishes the mind-well like a quick jaunt in the woods!

3. [Third Point]

.... I'll come back to this one.

2. Maybe, like

take a nap or something? Jerk off to clear your mind? I'm not sure.

Sean, the length of this article is unacceptable. Odyssey articles have to be 500 words or more to be publishable. This is the third article in a row that you have turned in that is too short. I understand that you going for some sort of meta-textual joke, but I think you've beat that dead horse with Id & Ego, An Open Letter to Open Letters, and An Open Letter to An Open Letter to Open Letters. Please find another schtick, this is getting embarrassing. Can't you go back to writing fun articles like your pasta piece and that great one about Ducks? Or what about that great one you wrote at the beginning of the year about Coming Out?

I really appreciate that you are trying to write something funny, but unfortunately you've barely been writing something tolerable. Why don't you just take a couple days off and rethink your articles, okay? Why don't you write about something in the news? We need more trending pieces to make quota this month. Here' an idea: legal weed — I'll transfer some money from the Odyssey Petty Cash fund and you can take a trip to one of those Hippie States: Oregon or Colorado. Buy some legal weed, write about it, and then come back next week. Until then I can't publish this, Sean.

I hope you get over your Writer's Block, keep up the good work.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
