Spring Break is here and we're all desperately hoping we remembered to pack everything we might need for a trip to the beach. Think you may have missed something? Look no further.
1. Face Moisturizer
This has been my trustworthy go to face Moisturizer for years now and it's never let me down. I highly recommend if you have oily skin like myself as it doesn't leave you feeling super greasy but instead refreshed.
2. Primer
Even if you're going to be at the beach not wearing makeup there's nothing that beats slathering this on your face in the morning. It completely hydrates your skin and leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.
3. Sunscreen
Although this isn't one of my favorites because my goal is always to get as tan as I possibly can over spring break, you will thank me for this in the long run. Even if it's not gonna be super sunny, cloud burn is a real thing people. At least put SPF 15 on because your skin will be much happier if it's not burning red.
4. After Sun Lotion.
I cannot stress how important it is to hydrate your skin especially if you're going to be outside in the dehydrating sun all day. Not only does this product smell amazing but it feels amazing especially after on your sun kissed skin has been under the heat.
5. Sunglasses/hat.
I pity the fool who leaves their sunglasses at home this spring break. The sun and it's rays can be extremely damaging to your eyes especially if there's a high UV index that day. But honestly who wants to be super squinty in spring break pictures anyway? If you aren't a sunglasses person, a cute hat also does the trick.
6. A camera.
A fun tip is to bring a disposable camera on your vacation so you can kick it old school and have the pictures printed no problem. Sure we have a great camera on our iPhone but you'd be surprised how many gems you'll get on one of these bad boys. Plus it's always fun not knowing how a picture will come out. We always say we'll print out the pictures on our phone to hang up but do we ever really? This disposable option ensures you do.
7. Cover up.
A cover up completes any beach bum's attire for the day. I know you'll probably just take it off when you get to the beach but spring break is basically playing the lottery when it comes to the weather. There have been plenty of times I wish I could've had something to shield myself from harsh winds. Who even invited the wind anyways isn't March practically summer??
8. Cash
Cash is always a good option for those beach vendors who won't take cards and you never know when you could use the extra money.
9. A portable charger.
In my past experiences, my phone is always the first to die during spring break especially when I'm trying to document all the fun moments with my friends. I've learned to carry around a portable charger because you're never disappointed that you brought one. If you don't end up needing it I guarantee one of your friends will.
10. Water.
The sun can be gruesome some days and I'm sure all of us rather be hydrating ourselves with something with a little more kick to it than water, water really is an essential if you're planning on not passing out and actually want to remember the fun times you had. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate people!!! Water is your best friend this week I'm telling you.
11. A fanny pack.
I know it's cliché and cheesy and mom and everything in between, but I swear these things are so convenient. It's the perfect size to put a mini water bottle, portable charger, and even a disposable camera. Plus it's hands free and comfortably hangs around your waste. PSA: people will make fun of you and then ask to put their stuff in your fanny.
12. Hair ties.
WHEN you decide you want to put your hair up and trust me you will, having one of these on your wrist will save your life. If you don't want to crease your hair you could always opt for a scrunchie instead but also you can examine how tan you got based off the white ring you'll have around your wrist.
Most importantly, don't forget to bring a good attitude and finally relax from all the stresses of midterms and internships and any other thing in your life that could be causing you worry. Spring break is finally here so party on spring breakers and stay safe.
