The best time of the year is when Bath & Body Works has their semi-annual sale. It typically occurs in December, just in time for the holidays, and in June, just in time for the summer. The semi-annual sale is currently going on so here are the top 10 scents I personally absolutely LOVE.
Japanese Cherry Blossom

This is such a classic scent of theirs, but there's a reason it has stayed around for years. It smells just as the title entails...like cherry blossoms. If you love the smell of flowers, this is probably the safest scent to buy from Bath & Body Works. I haven't met a single person that DOESN'T like this scent.
Warm Vanilla Sugar
Another classic scent here, but still one I have bought every year for the last 10 years. Warm vanilla sugar is a subtle, sweet scent that is perfect if you don't want the smell being too strong. I definitely suggest the shower gel, but I also have used the mist before as my daily perfume.
Vanilla Bean Noel

I just found out about this scent last December, but OMG. I love it. I'm pretty sure it's only a seasonal scent for the holidays, so you may need to wait to buy it (unless you get it off of eBay), but trust me...it's worth the wait. It is a sweet vanilla smell with a holiday twist to it. I recommend the bubble bath soap if you enjoy taking baths.
Stress Relief: Island Edition
If you get easily stressed out like me, the Island Edition of the stress relief soap is a great, well, relief. It is strong when first applying, but if you really stop to breath it in, you'll feel the effects. With a good twist of sandalwood and eucalyptus, this is a scent that is sure to calm you down, even for just a little bit.

This is the scent reminds me of springtime. I personally carry around a mini mist bottle of it with me in case I notice I need a refreshing smell. It's a great blend of almond, vanilla, and white iris. Definitely a sweet, flowery smell, which is why I typically love using it in the spring.
Kaleidoscope
Not only is this one of my ultimate favorite scents from Bath & Body Works, but the shiny rainbow is adorable. I currently use this one as my daily perfume and did use it as my body wash until I ran out recently. When needed, I use it for lotion. This scent mixes iris, cedarwood, and pink pepper together to make a strong, yet amazing smell. It really makes me feel bold and like I'm uniquely me...which I think may have been their goal. Talk about confidence while wearing this one!
Mad About You
This is a great spring and summer scent. If you're feeling flirty or in love, this one may be a good go-to for you. It has so many different floral scents mixed with vanilla (can you tell I'm a vanilla scent kind of girl). This is a scent I typically buy for lotion because it's soothing and not too mature, but not too young smelling.
One In A Million

This one is a cute, romantic smelling scent. I personally use it as a travel perfume in the small mist bottle, but I am definitely planning on getting it in the shower gel form this upcoming semi-annual sale. It's a mature, floral scent so if you like flowers and like the more mature smells, this one is worth trying.
Midnight
Bath & Body Works
This scent is part of Bath & Body Work's men's line, but I'm putting it down because it smells sooo good. If you want to get your significant other a good smelling soap for the shower or cologne, this is one I recommend. I personally love this one on my husband and he loves it too.
Ocean
Another men's collection scent, but also another one to buy for your man if he's looking for a new scent. It's not as strong as Midnight, that I mentioned above, but still does it's justice.
