Bat flipping is no longer OK in baseball. In the past five years, there have been many instances were players have disrespected the game and have flipped their bat in the air and have watching their home runs. This does not go over well with other teams and it causes a big scene that can be easily avoided. There are many players that do this and it needs to stop.
In baseball there are some unwritten rules that can't be crossed. Well one of them is no bat flipping. Baseball is an emotional game but showing up the other team isn't a part of the game. Many instances of this have caused players to yell at each other and even cause bench clearing brawls. A pitching in baseball has two rules, don't flip your bat when you hit a homer and don't watch the ball go out of the ballpark. If the pitcher does not see it, someone else will and they will catch you on it. This happens sometimes in the Postseason were the tensions are high. Jose Bautista is a guy that comes to mind because last year in the playoffs he flipped his bat and watched his home run. David Ortiz watched him home run in the 2013 postseason and the other team didn't like it. There's a fine line for baseball players and how there support to act and pimping out home runs aren't acceptable.
Pitchers in Major League baseball now have the tendency to get wild with there pitch command. When the batter pimps out his home run, the next time he gets up something might happen. Pitchers take this very serioulsly and they might hit the batter the next time he is up. This has happened to many times in the past five years and that's not what baseball is about.
