Thanksgiving break... a week full of sleeping, eating real food, and spending time with your family and friends. Thanksgiving break was much needed for those stressed out students who have been working almost non stop since the beginning of the school year. This break was a time for high school friends to reunite and talk about all the good and bad times since they went their separate ways for college.
For me, especially, it was a time to spend some time with my family and eat my grandma's amazing cooking (thanks Grammy). I was able to see all my friends and fill them in on everything that's happened in the past three months. I was also able to hear about their lives, which is crazy that I'm not fully apart of them anymore.
Now, I'm back at school, which is a good and a bad thing. I'm glad to be back and able to see all my friends. It's crazy how close you can get with people after only knowing them for a short time, but I really missed everyone at school. I'm also excited to gain back that independence that comes with being at school. I'm able to make my own decisions and basically do what I want when I want to, which is something I really cherish.
With going back to school, however, there are classes, tests, quizzes, and what seems like endless assignments to do. I've always been someone who loves to learn, but with so many things piled up in the three weeks before the end of the semester, I feel so overwhelmed. Being on break for a week made me forget just how busy I am. All I can think about is work, work, and more work.
As I get through the assignments, though, I remember that winter break is just around the corner and that Christmas is in less than a month! This first semester has truly flown by and I can't believe it's almost over.
Finals are coming up and I know I'll be super busy and stressed out, but at least when finals are over, they're really over. Until next semester, at least.
