With less than a month left until the glorious days of summer are over, students returning to college are beginning to panic and countdown the time as they anticipate the start of a new semester. There is a frantic rush to make sure that everything that needs to be done before school starts again is completed... purchasing new books, packing up belongings for the dorm room, getting your last minute summer bucket list items checked off, and enjoying not having to go to class while it lasts. However, as the days dwindle down and reality begins to set in, you have to start getting back into the school mindset. The "Friends" character, Chandler Bing accurately relays the inner thoughts of college students as they anticipate the arrival of the month of September.

1. Thinking about the return of piles and piles of homework

2. When your parents remind you of the reality of classes starting soon

3. When asked why all your classes are scheduled in the afternoon


4. Practicing how you are going to introduce yourself on the first day of classes

5. Getting your student ID picture taken

6. Syllabus week

7. Enjoying the luxuries that come with summer while you still have them

8. Updating your resume and trying to find the best wording

12. Planning out all the shenanigans you and your roommates with perform this year

13. Organizing the new accessories you've collected over the summer to go all out for spirit days

14. When you receive the email that your fall bill is now available

15. Preparing to make an entirely new nap schedule

16. Dreaming of the freedom to act however you want when you are no longer with your parents

17. Buying new decorations so that your dorm will be fashionably furnished

18. Practicing for karaoke nights

19. Counting down the days until you and your college besties are reunited

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons.
