Dear Burnt Out Student,
You are so relieved to be done with finals and classes, but are too burnt out to even celebrate...
As you reflect on this year, you're probably thinking "wow, this went by fast..." but then again, you are probably not. No, and I mean no amount of money could get you to go back and relieve every second of this school year, and you know that is 100% accurate. Just thinking about reliving it makes you want to cry in a corner.
Throughout the year your go-to-phrase was most likely "I'm dropping out," and you didn't care if the whole world knew it, but then again you still stayed up till 2 a.m. writing that essay you knew your professor was not going to read anyway. The stress you amounted over the semester always built up and never declined, and you of all people don't know how you were going to make it through.
You also have no idea what was worse: the two semesters combined? or the two weeks of studying for finals and working on projects? Which ever the case, you can exhale now. Sit down and relax. You don't have to think about one more school related item, unless you're going to take classes over the summer. So if you are, I am so sorry.
You probably are so burnt out, you are going to dedicate a whole week to your bed to spend some personal time catching up after you haven't seen each other all week. Normally you would scroll through snap chats and your Instagram feed to distract yourself from studying, but now you cry every time you hear your text tone go off.
Of course you are glad the year has come to an end, but unless you graduated, you are probably contemplating why you signed yourself up again for 1+ more years of this. You would think college would help you make more rational decisions.
But overall, you are just grateful! The "burnt out" phase shall pass soon, and just think-- you're done with another year. You have learned something new and created more amazing memories to add to the collection. Of course you will miss you favorite pizza spot, a night with your friends and of course the parties! But if you had a option would you stay at school forever? I think not.
