We all have our go-to shoes. Maybe it's your ballet flats that are just so comfortable you forget you have them on sometimes. Or maybe it's your chunky black wedges because they go with everything and make you feel unstoppable. For me, it's my white high top converse.
I remember when I bought you (along with an abundance of other things) at an Urban Outfitters in Cleveland on a rainy summer day. I took them out of the box, put them on and walked right out of the store - and they've been on my feet ever since.
We've been through a lot and I want to thank you.
Remember St. Patrick's day this year? Okay good, it's a little fuzzy for me too. All I know is the next morning you were covered in mud and I thought I ruined my favorite pair of shoes. Luckily my mom soaked you in bleach and you looked brand new.
There was also that time when we were at a house party and another unfortunate event occurred. Bright red jungle juice was spilled all over you. I looked down in disbelief and again thought you were ruined... washing machines do wonders, I'm telling you.
And could we forget the countless nights downtown? (Yeah, we probably should.) From spilled mixed drinks at Bent's to spilled pizza sauce at Casa, you've managed to come out alive and (almost) unscathed.
And football tailgates aren't the same without you. I'm pretty sure I've worn you to almost every game.
Thanks for getting me up and down frat row. It's always been a struggle on the nights I wore heels. Not only are you comfortable but I don't look like a newborn giraffe when I walk!
I can count on you to complete any outfit whether it's a simple sundress or black ripped jeans. (Disclaimer: White Converse are a staple in every closet).
Thanks for being a travel necessity. From New York to Florida (and a few states in between) we've seen it all. The Southernmost Point of the US was pretty neat. And Niagara Falls was unbelievable. I can't wait to go out west with you this summer!
All though the "All-Star" is fading off the back of the right shoe and I can't quite get all of St. Patrick's day off, I could never replace you. Thanks for being the best $55 I've ever spent on a pair of shoes.
