Dear Liberals:

Stop acting crazy

It’s been four days since the election of Donald Trump, and the liberal sect of the Democratic party has gone insane since the election. I understand you're upset but let's face it - if your candidate had won, you would be telling the Republican party not to be upset. So, why do you get to act so irrationally? Donald Trump is our President if you like it or not; get over it.

Stop the whining about your sudden anxiety, and overall upset emotion like you're going through a breakup. Not everything will go your way, The time has come for a Republican President. We have had Obama for eight years, yet nothing seems to have gotten done. No offense, but just because Clinton was a woman doesn't mean we should have all voted for her, what was she really going to do for the country and wasn't she the only person who risked national security? Great choice for a candidate. Really, I applaud you.

The protesting needs to stop. There is a difference between peaceful protests and the violent ones. For sure this is a violent one, You all say you have the right to freedom of speech but does that mean you can verbally attack someone and physically beat up a person because who they support? No. The actions you took to hurt this person don't help your protest, neither will your threat will change their minds. The statement “not my president“ sounds so stupid because he is the president of this country, whether you want him or not. Ironically you talked about how Trump said horrible things during his campaign but in the last couple of days, many have said worse things about Trump and his supporters than Trump has ever said about anyone.

Lastly, the American Flag shouldn't be burned! It isn't for the president, it is for the service men and women who have died serving this country. Each color on the flag represents what we are as a nation: white is a purity & innocence, red is hardiness & valor, blue is the color of the chief and the band above the stripes represents vigilance, perseverance & justice. Most importantly the gold fringe stands for “So Proudly We Hail”. In reality, when you burn this flag you are disrespecting the service men and women who gave up their lives for the people of America. If you still feel strongly about burning our flag, get the hell out of the USA because citizens don't burn the flag. If you want to stay here, don't disrespect the country just because Clinton isn't president. You may be grieving but violence is never the answer. Love, not hate your country. You are your country, not the candidate you voted for. Remember that.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
