10 Things Only a True Wildcat Will Understand

I am proud to say that I am a student at Villanova University. The first time that I stepped on campus, as a sophomore in high school with my dad, I knew that it was the college for me.

I know that there are great aspects of every college campus, but here are 10 things that make Villanova the perfect college for me. If you are a true Wildcat, you will understand.

1. The amount of navy blue in your wardrobe. Most of the tops you own are navy blue and white, and you struggle with how acceptable it is to wear your Nova Nation shirt with your dark wash jeans.

2. The struggle of finding a ticket to a basketball game when you don't win the lottery, or for those rare yet dreaded times you forget to enter.

3. When you see the sun rising or setting behind the church, you are obligated to take that picture and Instagram it.

4. You find yourself explaining to your friends from home every time you see them that you do actually have fun.

5. The freshman 15 does not come from eating in the dining halls on campus. Face it, it's from all those late night Zilly fries from Campco.

6. You know that trying to find a table in Cafe Nova, Connelly, or the Pit during lunch hours is nearly impossible.

7. You like to dress nicely for class.

8. Having class on the fourth floor of Tolentine is the worst possible thing - especially if it's an 8:30.

9. VUMobile is never reliable. Don't save that online test or quiz until the last possible minute, because chances are, VUMobile won't be working and it'll be late.

10. You know the excitement and heartbreak of Villanova basketball.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
