Alpha Chi Omega spread: section about philanthropy The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega support the victims of domestic violence as their philanthropic service to the community.
Nationally, Alpha Chi Omega supports the ΑΧΩ Foundation, which supports the organization's mission to
educate and empower women. Locally, Alpha Chi Omega at the University of
Tennessee supports the YWCA of Knoxville.
Through restoration projects,
interactive events and volunteer work, Alpha Chi Omega sisters enjoy making
bonds with the women who live at the YWCA. Our sorority donates all the
proceeds we receive from our spring philanthropy event, Dodging Domestic
Violence Dodgeball Tournament, to the YWCA so they can better serve the women
they help.
Another local philanthropy we support is the Family Justice Center
of Knoxville, which serves domestic
violence and sexual abuse victims. In the fall, we have our annual CarniVOL to
raise money for the Family Justice Center of Knoxville. In past years, we have
raised over $2,500 in one day!
The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega are very
passionate about their philanthropy work and are dedicated to making every
woman strong.
