I don't know if it's just me and my family, or if other people relate too... but my parents definitely have had a harder time shopping for Christmas presents for me over the past few years. Although, I definitely believe that Christmas is more about the presents you give than the presents you get and that spending time with family is the best gift you can possibly get... presents are still really great too!

So here's my wishlist for Christmas this year, I'm sure other college girls can add items to their own wish list from mine! Click the pictures to be directed to the website where each item can be purchased!

1. Over the Knee Boots

I feel like I ask for a new pair every year, but they're just SO cute... and I would do anything for a pair of brown ones! I wear a size 10 in these boots, and the wide calf definitely makes legs look slimmer!

2. Above the Knee Socks

Obviously, these are a necessity if you have over the knee boots! Plus, every pair of white socks I own have holes in them... I'd honestly be SUPER happy with these socks in every color imaginable!

3. Over Sized Cozy Sweaters

The ultimate winter staple! I love cozy sweaters and dressing for colder weather! Not to mention, big sweaters are great for lounging, shopping, and going to class- so you can't go wrong with this gift! I absolutely ADORE this thermal v-neck sweater from Urban Outfitters, and the color plum is super cute! I'd wear this in an XL to ensure that it's baggy enough!

4. Canon Camera & Accessory Kit

One of my favorite things to do is to take pictures and make awesome scrapbooks! I'd love a quality camera to do this with! Plus, I would even be able to attempt to live out my dream of being a famous youtube vlogger!

5. Makeup Brushes

I've lost track of how long I have been using the same makeup brushes... and even though I wash them regularly I'm definitely sure that I need new ones! This brush bundle from Ulta is Perfect!

6. Hair Salon Gift Card

I've been on a mission past few months to grow out my hair, but a lack of funds has made it difficult to get the products that I know I want! I would love a gift card to a salon so that I could get my hair trimmed and deep conditioned!

7. Bath and Body Works Car Fresheners

I love these little refillable air fresheners for my car! They're strong and last a long time- something that's definitely important for me since my car is basically a storage unit for stuff I can't fit in my closet. Don't forget the cute little holders for the air fresheners too!

8. Cash

I mean, you really can't go wrong with this one! Cash is a great gift when paired with a personal Christmas card! There's no shame in not wanting to buy a present or not knowing what gift is best! Cash allows the receiver of the gift to do what they want with it!

9. Movie Theatre Gift Cards

I don't know about you, but I am a HUGE movie buff! I love watching movies and staying up to date on current entertainment, but movies are SO expensive! Regal gift cards would make a great present!

10. iPhone Ringlight

Okay so I already have a selfie stick and I definitely want the camera above, but I really think that if I had this ring light my selfie game would be ON POINT! I mean, who wouldn't want Kardashian-quality selfies to post on Instagram?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
