I think we all have our fair share of random moments. You know, those moments that make you think, "what just happened?" Or "is this for real?" Some moments make you laugh. Some moments might make you cry. Some moments might surprise you. Overall, when I think of some of my random moments, I am thankful.
Here's what I have to say....
To the random moment when someone swiped a ton of people in the dinning hall my freshman year. Thank you. I was running out of swipes. I was actually about to pay to get Chick-Fil-A on campus. The Lord knew the struggle was too real! He had my back. He once again showed me that He is a provider. We don't need to worry about our needs because He is so sovereign.
To the random moment freshman year when a friend invited me out. I am so grateful for this. I got to meet some great friends that I am still close with today. Because of this one moment, I got to have many more memories with the people that I met that night.
To the random moment when two ladies stopped to talk to me on the fourth floor of LBJ. Words can't describe how this moment has impacted my life. This moment was really the start of my freshman year. Because of this, I get to be a part of an organization that has changed my life. I got to meet some of the most amazing people that I've ever meet. Jesus changed my life through this organization. Thank you.
To the random moment when a friend basically paid for me to go on a retreat. Thank You. I needed to go on that retreat. That moment was pivotal. This retreat set the tone for how amazing my freshman year was. That retreat was life-changing because I came back a different person. I could never go back to the person I use to be. So again, I say thank you.
To the random moment when two people stopped to talk to me at "Boko's Party." Thank You. I now get to be a part of an organization I never thought I would join. I came to college thinking "I know what I wanted to join." Well, it turns out I didn't and I am glad. This just goes to show that God's plans are greater.
To the random girl that talked to me in the Starbucks line. Thank You. I am glad that we are now friends. You have truly shown me what it means to be a friend. You are the most genuine, kind-hearted person I know. Getting to know you this past semester has been a joy. We are more alike than you think. I am excited to see where this friendship goes. I am excited to continue to grow in friendship and see you blossom into the beautiful person that you are.
Random moments aren't so random sometimes. Cherish those moments. Reflect on them.
