Think of that one friend in your life who popped up randomly. You can't really remember what made y'all be in same place at the same time, but somewhere along that path y'all became friends. You might of known who they were for a long time but just never really considered being friends or you could of met them the day y'all decided to become friends. However, because of this random bloom of a friendship your life has never been back to the way it was before, and you couldn't be happier.

So, dear unexpected friend,

Thank you for one day just coming into my life at the most random time possible. I honestly did not think much about who you were when we met because I honestly thought I would never see you again. I was so wrong. We kept running into each other at the same stores, parties, hangouts, restaurants, etc., and by then I should of known that this was a sign. It's as if all those places were trying to bring us together. We had mutual friends which led us to more interactions but that still didn't bring us to a friendship level.

Then that one event turned everything around. After all those times not paying attention to how we were at the same place, the time finally came where I started to realize who you really were. I think back on that certain moment and I am so happy I got the nerves to just go up and have a conversation with you even though I knew it would be a little awkward because the most we were at that point was "social media friends." Yet, considering how our friendship is now I could predicted that our conversation wasn't going to be weird because it made me realize how much we have in common.

From then on our friendship started to grow. I'm so thankful for you calling and texting me after that occasion to go shopping or grab something to eat because it was all those times that made us bond over the silly things. However, the moment I knew you would be a best friend is when you were there during a time I needed you most. I should of known from all those little efforts you put into hanging out together that you would be by my side through everything hardship or struggle I would face.

So, thank you my unexpected friend for being one of the biggest surprises of a blessing a girl could have. I wish I would of known sooner how great of a person you are, and know what truly made us click to become friends, but its the path of our friendship that has led me to see how special of friend you are to me and because of that, I wouldn't change a thing.
