Advice For The End Of The Semester As Told By Puppies

With the nice weather and the promise of summer so close, keeping school on our minds is that last thing we want to do. But for the sake of our grades we need to keep on trucking, because watching Netflix for hours won't make summer come any sooner and it'll only add to your stress. So it's time to hit the books, and what better way to refocus yourself than with a little motivation and expertise from puppies?

1. Focus.

It might feel like the end of the semester is just as far away as at the beginning, but you're so close. Just stay focused on your school work and everything will be over soon. If this dog can balance four treats on its snout, you can write four paragraphs of your paper without looking at your phone.

2. Spend time outside.

It's spring fever season, so instead of wishing you were outside while studying for hours, grab a blanket and relax in the sun as a break or while you're studying. The sun provides vitamin D, which is known to improve moods and fight depression. Like this puppy, take time to enjoy the beauty of nature instead of the thinking about the room you'll be studying in for the next couple hours.

3. Keep working out.

Don't lose motivation for everything just yet; summer's just around the corner! It's too nice outside not to go for a jog around campus. It also will help clear your head when there's just too much school to think about.

4. Always have time for naps.

The last couple weeks are probably the most stressful, with professors trying to cram in everything they had planned. Work hard, as said before, but don't be afraid to take a much needed nap every once in a while to give yourself a break. Just look how comfy this puppy is. You could be that comfy too.

5. Stay organized.

Taking things little by little is the easiest. Keep the notes you take clean and readable as possible to make studying and homework easier. Making 'to do' lists will not only make it easier to understand the things you have to do, but checking off items on the list will also make you feel very productive!

6. 6. Study in groups.

At this time of year it's hard to find the motivation to do much of anything, so find some motivation with your friends. Everyone's need to finish out the semester will help stay focused, on task, and will probably be more fun than studying by yourself. Take advice from these little pups all ready to take a bath together. It might make them less likely to jump out, but have a lot more fun.

7. Summer is right around the corner!

The projects, tests, and papers might seem never-ending, but they aren't. Soon you'll be leisurely laying in your own bed without a thought in the back of your mind that you might have to be doing homework. Keep working hard so the summer can be a reward to yourself.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
