As a young woman who has recently discovered that positivity is something that can be both easily attained and sustained throughout life as long as certain actions are taken in order to do so successfully, I am inspired to share 9 adjustments that you can make to your lifestyle in order to lead a happier one. And if I'm being completely honest here, I wasn't always as positive of a person as I am now.
In fact, I spent most of my childhood with a negative mindset, and truly believe that it is because of this mindset that I was constantly faced with negative situations and outcomes. Fortunately, I now know that the only way I can lead a happier and more rewarding lifestyle is to attract positivity to myself in as many ways as possible. Ten of these ways are given below:
1. Realize that the only way you can live a happier life is by thinking and acting positively at all times.
This is something that takes a lot of time to learn, but is completely 100% true. Think about it. If you only choose to think negatively and engage in negative actions, then you will only attract negativity to yourself in the long run. So, instead of thinking and stressing about a bad experience you've had in the past, why not think about how that experience shaped you into a better person as a result of its occurrence?
2. Pray on a daily basis.
For those you who don't know, I believe that there is only one God (i.e. The Lord Himself) and am always amazed by what He can do, including answering my prayers. So no matter what you believe in, pray. You just might be surprised with what happens! And remember, don't forget to thank Him/them for watching out for you and answering your prayers!
3. Show off your smile no matter what.
No matter what you're going through, smile! Not only will that small little feature make you feel just a little bit better, but it will also bring more positivity your way even in the simplest of forms.
4. Think about everything you've got going for you.
Honey, you've got so much going for you, including your beauty, intellect, personality, and more! It's time you know that and own it!
5. Spend quality time with your family and friends.
Rather than spending your precious time worrying about all of those negative things, spend some quality time with your family and friends instead, especially the ones you enjoy being around the most. Trust me, they want to see you happy and will do anything to try to cheer you up, even if it means listening to you rant about absolutely EVERYTHING. After all, that's what family and friends are for. Am I right?!6. Do something nice for someone else.
I can't tell you how amazing it feels to make someone else happy! And to know that you were the one who was responsible for making them happy, well, that's even better! And who knows? Positive karma just might come your way in the long run!
7. Dress yourself up every once in a while.
Whether you're feeling a little under the weather or even a little blue, you're definitely not going to make yourself feel any better if you mope around the house feeling sorry for yourself. Dress yourself up, sweetheart! Do your hair and makeup, wear that fancy new dress, whatever! It's time you go from being a moper to a runway model!
8. Stay productive.
Another way to get your mind off the negatives, one of the best approaches you can take is to stay productive. Do some homework, make a new YouTube video (if you're a YouTuber like me), etc. After all, the more you do, the more accomplished you'll feel and become. And trust me, accomplishment is a wonderful feeling!
9. Keep reminding yourself that life will get better, even if you don't know it yet.
Trust me, I know how you're feeling right now. But you can't let negativity take over your life forever. After all, life is way too precious to waste on feeling negative all the time, and you've got to realize that it's going to get better even if you don't realize it yet. Take that as my promise to you.
