You're gonna be cooped up in the house for the next few weeks, and you might be at a loss of what to spend your time doing. Well here's a few ideas for ya!
~*~
1) Find That Binge-Show
Do you have a bunch of recordings sitting on your DVR from the beginning of the season? Have you been eyeing a show on Netflix or Crunchie-Roll? Well now's the time to get those taken care of! Get some fuzzy blankets, a cup of coco, and unhealthily finish a whole season in one day. You've earned it!
2) Try Out A New Recipe
Wanna try cooking something new? Or are you the type that hardly cooks? Well either way, trying something new is a fun exercise in general! And then you get to eat it--sounds like a win-win to me.
3) Take A Walk
I know I know, you're thinking i'm crazy--hear me out! I hate the cold too, lord knows i wear 5+ layers when i go outside. But you have to admit there's something hauntingly serene about nature in the wintertime. The way the leaves fall and crumble away, the way the snow melts into the Earth, the bright red cardinals resting in the trees, the frost and ice all around--It's gorgeous, and humbling. There's never a wrong time to enjoy nature....unless there's a blizzard, then please stay inside.
4) Make Hot Cocoa
Just--Just do it. You know why.
5) Catch Up With Friends
After high school, a lot of your friends went their separate ways. Why not hit them up again? Plan a coffee date, or dinner and a movie--heck, have a small house party and stay the night! Catch up with everything with one another. More coco is recommended.
6) Clean Your Room/Clean The House
Lets be honest, guys. You've been neglecting your cleaning duties lately. School, finals, work, binge watching...the place is a mess. Tidy up a little while you have the spare time to do so. You won't regret starting the next semester with a nice, clean, organized room.
7) Bake Cookies
Shouldn't need explaining, really. Baking cookies is so damn fun, especially with friends and family. You get some good cookie mix, mix some icing up, decorate them--sounds like a perfect evening to me!
8) Spend Time With Family
And I mean outside of Christmas dinner. Play a card or board game, watch a movie. Go out for dinner or lunch-even breakfast. Just, hang out. In times like these, we need to remember the importance of family--the ones we're born into as well as the ones we make ourselves.

And that's just a few things to try out this winter break! What other sort of things will you be getting up to? Start new traditions, and have a relaxing, well earned break!
