Lately, a lot has changed in my life. I have been back in college for about three weeks but it still feels like I arrived just yesterday. I can actually drive around now because I have a car and I just got a new job as a waitress! I've had auditions and have been trying to settle back into the groove of things. A lot of negative energy has been going around lately, so I wanted to share a list of things that I've probably forgotten the beauty of in the midst of all the chaos. Enjoy! :)

1. Tea

Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, Green Tea, Oolong Tea. I love it all. There's nothing quite like a warm cup of Earl Grey or Irish Breakfast after a long, grueling day. I'm already on my second cup for the night. Drink more tea!

2. Bananas

Bananas truly do wonders for the body and mood. Much like many other super foods, bananas can decrease symptoms of depression, almost instantly boost your mood, and provide you with a delicious treat! Eat more bananas. They keep you healthy and happy!

3. No Longer Being On Tinder! :D

I fell into the dreadful trap of Tinder for the first time last year. Ever since then I have matched, spoken to, and met many different people. Unfortunately, the majority of my Tinder dates have either:

a) been 5-15 pounds heavier than they are in their pictures

b) look pretty different because the majority of their pictures were from the years 2012-2014

c) been aggressive and seemingly unhappy to be around me

d) have really bad teeth

e) have really bad breath

f) generally just smell bad

g) or, let's be honest, all of the above

4. Lava Lamps

I asked my awesome dad for a lava lamp last year and he got one for me. Thanks dad! You're awesome. :)

Do yourself a favor and invest in a lava lamp! They are unique, relaxing, and so fun to watch!

5. My Family

I live in Florida now but I never lived in Florida before college. Being away from home and my family can be very tough. I miss them dearly everyday and I love all of them to pieces. Being away from such a strong and caring group of people has made me realize just how lucky I truly am.

6. Yoga

I could probably write a novel and still not be able to put into words how much my yoga practice has changed my life. When I practice consistently, I feel a strong shift in my mood, I'm far more relaxed, and I'm far more accepting of love, change, and others. Yoga reteaches you how to treat your mind, your body, and the world.

7. Love and Affection

I need hugs, pats on the back, hand holding, and anything and everything in between to keep me sane. I am a very touchy person. I love to hug all my friends and I also love to hold hands with my friends. Feeling connected to a person brings me such joy and happiness. The sensations are indescribable. Want to make my day? Give me a long hug and pat my head. I'm a puppy. What can I say?

What are some things that you're super thankful for? Leave some ideas in the comments below! Stay positive and have a beautiful day! :)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
