You're walking on campus and hear you friend gasp next to you. You look where she is pointing and see someone walking their adorable dog. You scream on the inside and run over, asking if you can pet the puppy and gushing over his cuteness. As you walk away, you feel your heart drop as you start to think about how much you miss your own dogs, cats, or whatever pets you may have at home. This is the real college struggle. We're stressed, tired, and really only want a cuddle buddy -- but sadly our go-to cuddler is back at home, probably missing us as much as we miss them. We miss a lot of things about home but the absolute worst (besides our mom, of course) is our pets. So what do we miss most about these annoyingly adorable little creatures?
1. We miss coming home from a long day and seeing how excited they are to see us.
There is seriously nothing that will make you feel more loved than walking into your house and having your dog run, bark, and jump all over you, all because he is just SO excited to have you home.
2. We miss having a little fur ball to cuddle with when we're stressed, sad, happy, tired...basically we just miss having them to cuddle all the time.
If you're single like me and are pretty much in a relationship with your dog, your go-to cuddle partner is your pet, so not having them at college with you is a little depressing. After a long day of classes and homework, I miss crawling into bed and cuddling my cat until all my problems disappear.
3. We miss always having someone to play with.
The only exercise partner I'll ever have is my dog, so not having them with me at college is really killing my fitness. Whether you want to go for a walk or play some fetch, your dog is always ready to run around and play with you.
4. We miss taking pictures of them and of course, capturing those adorable selfies.
I have at least 200 pictures of me posing with my dog or cat on my camera roll and find myself going through these selfies every time I'm missing them. My selfie game is seriously weak when I'm away at school without my animals.
5. We miss taking naps, eating, and doing whatever we want with them all day long -- because they'll be happy as long as we're together.
When my friends don't want to go get food with me or watch Netflix, I think about how much I miss hanging out with my pets all day long. They're always down to hang out with me and are super cute while they do.
6. Basically, we just miss having an adorable, furry, always-smiling little bundle of joy around us every day that loves us no matter what.
Even if we just failed a huge test or haven't gotten ready for class all week, our pets love us anyways, and we miss this the most.
