Struggling to find places to visit this summer on a budget? Do you work a 9-5 (or have a full time job)? The best answer for these questions is "long weekend" vacations. They're cheaper and you can conquer many more places than you could if you just did one long week of vacations. I did my research and figured out the best places to visit for a long weekend for a great price.
1. Las Vegas, NV
Rule of numb: use Groupon! When you think Vegas you think money... that is NOT true. You can find a $35 a night hotel right on the strip that is still 4 stars! If you want to have a flight/hotel combination it's super cheap and can be as little as $500 for 4 days with your flight and hotel included.
2. New York, NY
Airbnb...thats THE key. Okay yes, you may be living in someones real apartment or house but what's better than staying in a REAL apartment in SoHo for HALF the cost? That's right.. nothing!
3. The Jersey Shore, NJ
Motels is the way to go. When people think motels they think old and dirty... this is not true for a majority of the motels at the Jersey Shore. Whether you be in Wildwood, Ocean City, or Atlantic City, a cheap, but nice hotel is findable for the weekend!
4. Miami, FL
Miami may be the land of the rich but not when you use Groupon, Airbnb, and travel websites on a weekend. It's actually cheaper for some long weekends during the summer than during the week WITH flights included.
5. Los Angeles, CA
Like listed before, Airbnb is such a great thing when it comes to traveling, especially in big cities like NYC or LA. You can easily find a great, cheap Airbnb that has the best location.
6. San Francisco, CA
Make your way to San Fran before the Warriors WIN (yes, they will win) the finals! You may be able to catch a game during your long weekend while getting a $700 flight/hotel combination package.
With this list, you can now travel some of the biggest cities in the US while on a budget!
