Whether you are a teenager, or a middle-aged adult, or even an elder, chances are, there are many ways to improve your daily routine and help your lifestyle. With a few small additions and adjustments, your life can become much more productive, healthier, and happier. On this list below are things that not many of us do, myself included, which we can utilize to enhance our daily lives.

1. Go to bed by 11 every day, or even earlier if possible.

2. Exercise every day. A light walk or jog will suffice.

3. As soon as you wake up, make your bed.

4. Do some light stretching in the morning.

5. Save a dollar (or more) every day.

6. Wake up one or two hours earlier than normal; you will be pleased with the time you have.

7. Limit your daily junk intake.

8. Eat within 200 calories of your daily calorie intake, calculated here. This is more for adults as opposed to younger, still growing people.

9. Try to avoid screens within one hour of waking up and going to sleep.

10. Stand up at least once every hour.

11. Read a few pages of a book every day.

12. If you do read a book, try to read one off this list.

13. Laugh and smile multiple times a day.

13. Drink a lot of water every day; this is possibly the most important and most improving thing you could do.

14. Listen to some classical music, or at least some other happy music if you can't stand classical.

15. When listening through earphones, use on-ear earphones, as they are better for you.

16. Learn a bit of a new language every day; this language can be a coding language too!

17. Analyze your current daily routine, and cut out any time wasting activities, or reduce them.

18. Do crosswords, word searches, sudoku, or a similar game to keep your brain sharp.

19. Limit or cut daily soda and coffee intake.

20. Say to yourself every morning "I will do great today and learn something."

21. Find a hobby you enjoy, and do it every day or every few days; some examples are chess, writing, or coding.

22. Do some yoga or meditation every morning or night.

23. Talk to or hang out with a friend or family member daily.

24. Look at life as an opportunity to enjoy yourself.

25. Be optimistic about every day.

26. Keep a growth mindset every day, and try not to ever change it.

27. Use an agenda or create a to-do list each day so you do not forget anything.

28. Work daily on any long term project or study for a big test every day.

29. Play video games in place of some of your daily TV, to make your brain more active.

30. Make a promise to do at least 20 of these every day.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
