How to get the words flowing again

Everyone at some point in their lives will end up having writer's block, whether it's a story they're writing or a paper that's due tomorrow. Writer's block can feel like it will never end, but there are some ways to fight it.

Take a walk

Sometimes leaving the computer for a while can help you get some fresh new ideas. One of the best ways to do that is by stretching your legs and getting the blood flowing to your brain again. Maybe you'll be inspired and find the way out of your predicament.

Take a bath

I know when I'm writing papers for school, I find it really easy to get stressed out when I don't know what to write. That's your cue to power down the laptop, break out a bath bomb, and just relax for an hour. That stress won't help you figure out what to write, and when your mind is free to wander, you'll be more likely to have new ideas.

Log off Facebook

Having any distractions while your writing will not help you solve your writer's block. They just let you ignore the problem. So close all your extra tabs, hide your phone, and turn off the music. Refocusing on your writing can really help.

Read!!

Sometimes you just need to read a book to get new ideas. Maybe you'll come across that word you were looking for. Or maybe you'll just end up staying up all night, but at least you will have enjoyed it.

Write something else

Sometimes it's just one spot that's killing you. When that happens, don't abandon your work completely--just work on something else with it. This is really helpful when you're working on a paper that's due soon. There's always another paragraph that needs your help.

Unfortunately, none of these are guaranteed to end your writer's block. So if you try all these things, and they don't work, just remember your writing doesn't have to be perfect, and you shouldn't be afraid to share it with the world. No matter what, just try to put words on the page because that is the only real way to end writer's block

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
