Dear sister,
I know how crazy your life might seem right now and I know you have a lot on your plate. The distance between us may make it where we do not see each other every day, but every day you are on my mind. I wish I was there to see your first competition of the season or to hear about your crazy day in school. Here are five things I want you to know:
1. You are amazing
I love being around you. You can always make me laugh and know exactly what to say to brighten anyone's day. The way you juggle all of your extra curricular activities while doing well in school absolutely astounds me. Your love for animals and kind heart are what make you so special.
2. I am so proud of you
Watching you grow up has been an exciting experience for me. I am most definitely the proud big sister that those shirts were talking about. I was able to watch you learn to walk, talk, and so much more. I was cheering you on every step of the way. You have overcome so many obstacles and are an inspiration to me.
3. I have learned so much from you
Growing up I can remember always being told to set an example for you; that you would learn things from watching me. That was proven to me the time I got you to mimic my actions while unknowingly spreading bright yellow icing all over your face and hair. The truth is, while you may have learned some things from me, I have learned many things from you. You taught me patience. You made me share, even when I did not want to. You taught me that no matter what, we are always going to be there for each other. You have shown me how to be selfless. You have taught me too many things to even try to list. I am thankful to have had you as my sister. Thank you for teaching me some of the most valuable lessons in life.
4. You are BEAUTIFUL
You are gorgeous. Even on the days that you do not see it. You are. I know that especially in high school you are going to be body conscious. Don't worry with those fad diets that everyone is keeping up with. You are perfect the way you are. No one's hair is alway perfect. No one's make up is always just right. Everyone has flaws. Sister, keep doing what you have always done and see the good in everyone. Your smile can light up a room. Your laugh is contagious. You are beautiful, because of who you are.
5. I love you so much
You already know just how amazing I think you are. You already know that I am proud of everything you have accomplished. I just want to make sure you know that I LOVE YOU. I have loved you since 2001 and I will love you til the end of time. I even loved you as I cried in the hospital the day you were born, because I was certain you would be older than me since your birthday month came before mine. I love you a lottle (it's like a little, but a lot), baby girl.
