Dating an athlete can get kind of difficult, between the practices, scrimmages, workouts, and games.

So know that if you are going to date an athlete there are some things you have to remember

1. Be supportive

This is very important. Always support what they love to do because half the time that sport is before you and you just have to be okay with it. So love watching the game they play just as much as they love it too. Almost every weekend there is going to be a game and there is nothing more that your boyfriend/girlfriend wants than for you to go and watch them play.

2. Listen to their rants

Athletes are going to have bad games or a bad practice. Listen to them. Regardless if you have any knowledge of the game or not still be there for them when times are tough. It is likely that every other day they want to quit and are really tired but always remind them as to why they love the game. Everyone has their bad days so just listen.

3. Time is Precious

Through all of the conditioning, practices, and schoolwork time becomes very precious. If it's an hour a day, take it do not complain and make the most of the time you two do get to spend together because through all of the other things that they have to get done they are still making an effort to see you through the week. So never waste the moments you do get to spend with your boyfriend/girlfriend because nine times out of ten they have been going none stop since they got up in the morning.

4. Don't be selfish

Yes, every girlfriend or boyfriend wants to spend all the time in the world with the person they are dating but do not ever try to take them away from their sport. You have to think about all of the time and efforts that they put into playing the game they love and as much as you want them to stop spending so much time with their team and more time with you, it is not fair. So never make them choose, always just know that is the sport and then you.

5. Never Worry

No, you two probably have not talked all day and you are worried if he or she still likes you or wants to spend time with you... Of course, they do! You are probably their glass of wine at the end of the day. So just because they have not had time to check their phone or be with you today does not mean you should overthink yourself to death and create a problem that was never there. They are yours for a reason!

Honestly dating someone that is passionate about something is awesome!! You get to watch them do what they love and then you grow to love watching them play it!

So just always remember these few things when season rolls around

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
